3 Services Every Real Estate Photographer Needs To Offer

3 Services Every Real Estate Photographer Needs To Offer

In today’s highly competitive real estate market, it’s crucial for photographers to offer a complete package to their clients. Realtors are expecting more than just your classic real estate photography.

In this article, I’ll discuss 3 services that every real estate photographer needs to offer their clients in order to stay competitive and run a great real estate photography business.

Services Every Real Estate Photographer Needs To Offer Their Clients

Offering just one service as a real estate photographer won’t cut it anymore. Agents are looking for photographers who can provide a more comprehensive set of services that covers all their marketing needs.

I’ll break down the three key services that every real estate photographer needs to offer their clients.

  1. Real estate photography
  2. Drone photography
  3. Floor plans

These 3 services should be your minimum offering to stay competitive and offer enough value to have your clients continue to come back.

Classic Real Estate Photography

First on the list is the classic real estate photography that every house absolutely needs. This service is the foundation of your offerings and, quite frankly, is an obvious service you need to offer. Here’s a few reasons why:

  1. First Impressions Matter: High-quality images make properties stand out online, which is often the first place potential buyers or renters look. A well composed photo can make an immediate impact, luring in potential buyers.

  2. Details Matter: Good real estate photography isn’t just about wide-angle shots. It’s about capturing the essence of the home, down to the finest detail. This can help potential buyers or renters envision themselves in the space.

  3. Marketing Leverage: Real estate agents use these photos across multiple platforms. Listing websites, social media, and print brochures just to name a few. The better the photos, the more leverage they have in their marketing efforts.

Real estate photography is the cornerstone of any successful real estate marketing campaign. The quality of the photos directly influences how the property is perceived and, by extension, its value in the eyes of potential buyers or renters.

Drone Photography

As I’ve discussed in numerous articles (see Why Every Real Estate Photographer Needs to Offer Drone Services) drone photography is becoming a necessity in most markets. Realtors are expecting it as an offered service, so you need to be offering it to stay competitive.

Here are a few reasons why:

  1. Showcasing the Entire Property: Drone photography allows you to capture the entire property and its surroundings, providing a fuller context that standard photos can’t offer.

  2. Unique Angles: Drones offer unique vantage points. Whether it’s a bird’s-eye view of a large estate or a dramatic angle of a high-rise building, drones can capture what would be impossible from the ground.

  3. High End Appeal: Drone photos add a high end feel to the property listing. They’re often seen as a premium addition, giving real estate agents an edge in a crowded market.

Adding drone photography to your service offerings isn’t just a gimmick or an add on any more. It’s about adapting to modern marketing needs and offering realtors more advertising choices.

Aerial photos provide a different perspective that can significantly enrich a property’s listing and make it more appealing to potential buyers. If you don’t yet own a drone, check out our article Best Drones for Real Estate Photography.

Floor Plans

Floor plans are such an easy way to offer your clients more marketing materials, increase the price of your average invoice, and either keep up, or put yourself ahead of your competition. Here’s a few reasons why floor plans are a necessary offering:

  1. Visualizing the Space: Floor plans give potential buyers a better understanding of the property layout, helping them visualize how they would utilize the space.

  2. Sizing it Up: They provide an idea of the dimensions and help to realistically set the expectations regarding the size of the property.

  3. Added Information: A detailed floor plan can reveal features that might be missed in photos, such as storage space, the flow between rooms, or unique architectural details.

Offering floor plans as part of your service package can be a game-changer. It’s an additional layer of information that can answer questions photos alone can’t answer. Give our article Should You Offer Floor Plans as a Real Estate Photographer a read for more information.
