Welcoming Ben Rubenstein to Aryeo’s Board of Directors

I’m excited to officially welcome Ben Rubenstein to our board of directors.

Ben is one of the most exceptional people I’ve met in the real estate space. He’s now successfully exited two businesses (Yodle and Opcity) and was the former CRO of Realtor.com. Opcity was one of the first companies to flip the traditional lead model upside down. Instead of optimizing for short-term lead sales, Opcity focused on long-term success fees that aligned themselves with agents. This fundamental shift is helping real estate portals like Zillow and Realtor.com break through traditional caps on lead prices and grow their top line by hundreds of millions of dollars. His latest business Setpoint is now powering the next wave of proptech companies to provide frictionless home buying and selling options.

When we first met Ben a little over a year ago (thank you Hyperplane!), we immediately started diving into what the future of real estate content and portals looks like. Pictures, videos, floor plans, and 3D tours are at the center of the consumer experience when browsing for properties – yet real estate photography companies, the ones generating that content, are often overlooked and exist outside of the traditional ecosystem. We look forward to working with Ben as Aryeo helps change how the industry works with real estate photographers and rich media, ultimately improving the end consumer experience.
