4 Creative Real Estate Photography Angles For Luxury Bathrooms
Luxury bathrooms are often one of the key selling features in high-end real estate, offering a blend of comfort, style, and sophisticated design. You can separate yourself from your competition by getting creative and offering perspectives that are unique.
In this article I’ll share four creative real estate photography angles for luxury bathrooms and give some details into why getting creative in luxury bathrooms can be such a good idea.

1. Inside The Tub Or Shower
Bathrooms, even luxury bathrooms, can be somewhat small and difficult to find new places to put your camera. Personally, I find myself getting into tubs and showers fairly often to try and capture a creative angle of a beautiful bathroom.
Creating an Immersive Experience: One of the most unique perspectives is shooting from within the bathtub or shower. This angle gives potential buyers a first-person viewpoint, offering a sense of being in the space. It can effectively showcase the design and finishes of the bathtub or shower, including intricate tile work, modern fixtures, and spaciousness.
Technique Tips: Ensure the tub or shower is impeccably clean and free of water spots or soap scum. Capture as much of the surrounding details as possible. If the shower has glass doors, keep them spotless and consider the reflections in your composition.
2. Above the Toilet
Unless the toilet is some sort of artistic masterpiece, it’s usually the least appealing part of a luxury bathroom. A lot of the time the toilet will actually be in it’s own room, closed off from the rest of the bathroom.
However, if the toilet is in view, positioning your camera over it can lead to some unique images which won’t include the least appealing part of the room.
Elevating the View: Shooting from just above the toilet level can provide a comprehensive view of the bathroom while not showing the toilet itself. This angle allows you to include various elements of the bathroom like the vanity, mirrors, and bath in one shot, providing a sense of the layout and design coherence.
Technique Tips: Be mindful of the height and angle to ensure that the toilet is not the focal point. If the toilet is going to be in the shot, the goal is to include it subtly in the context of the entire bathroom. Use this angle to emphasize luxurious countertops, detailed backsplashes, or custom cabinetry.
3. Turn On The Shower Or Other Fixtures
Usually luxury bathrooms feature some pretty high-end fixtures, especially when it comes to the showers. Turning on the shower and capturing the bathroom with the shower running can add an element of sophistication and class.

Technique Tips: Adjust your shutter speed to capture the movement of the water without blurring the rest of the scene. Ensure the rest of the bathroom is well-lit and consider the steam that will inevitably fill the room – it can add a nice effect but can also obscure details if too dense.
4. Get Creative With Mirrors
Usually mirrors are things that photographers try to avoid, but since virtually every bathroom has mirrors in them, they present a way to get creative with photography.
Using Mirrors as a Tool: Mirrors are a staple in bathrooms and can be used creatively to show different angles and aspects of the room simultaneously. Reflections can double the visual interest of your photo, showing both the direct view and the mirror’s reflection.
